Abqaiq Plants Fin-Fan Tubes Replacement Project
The Abqaiq Plants team faced repetitive tube failures in their Fin-Fan heat exchangers due to material incompatibility and aging equipment. To enhance reliability and reduce downtime, 12 out of 16 tube cells were upgraded to alloy 825 and installed during a planned Turnaround & Inspection window. This replacement not only improved cooling efficiency but also reduced T&I downtime by 20%.
